<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>T<\/span>\nhe wildlife park welcomes Przewalski’s horses, a species that nearly went extinct in the late 1960s and whose wild population remains low to this day. The horses will live alongside the bisons in the park’s meadows. Devoted to wildlife and flora protection, the park is delighted to participate in a breeding and conservation program, the American Species Survival Plan (SSP) of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) to protect this species.<\/p>\n
Przewalski’s horses and bison can coexist perfectly since they have a similar lifestyle, that is, they live in herds in the prairies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
These are wild horses native to Mongolia, distinguishable from other more common horse breeds by their small size. They are often in shades of beige with black extremities and a dorsal stripe (black line on the back). They also have a small, bristly black mane that sheds annually.<\/p>\n
