Get ready for a unique experience in nature by joining a sled dog training session. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of mushers and discover the special bond between man and his faithful furry companions.

Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to discover the world of mushers and share a special moment with the Parc Omega sled dogs. An unforgettable adventure awaits you, rich in emotions and learning!

During this activity, you will have the opportunity to :

1. Discover and meet the sled dog team. Get to know each dog, their names, personalities and roles in the team.

2. Prepare the dogs: take part in harness fitting and discover the techniques used by mushers to prepare their teams. This step is essential to understand the importance of communication and trust between the musher and his dogs.

3. Side-by-side off-road vehicle training: come aboard a side-by-side off-road vehicle and follow the dogs on their training trail in the nature. You’ll get a close-up look at their behavior and training techniques in action. Please note that dogs do not pull the vehicle.

4. A typical musher’s experience: along the way, our experienced musher guide will explain basic commands, training strategies and challenges encountered on sledding expeditions. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about this fascinating lifestyle.

Useful information

  • Arrival time: please arrive 15 minutes early at the meeting point.
  • Location: on the Parc Omega training site (kennel):

  • Duration of activity: 1 hour (30 minutes for the course and discovery and 30 minutes for the presentation to the dogs, safety instructions, mid-course breaks and refreshment session for the dogs).
  • Equipment provided: harness for dogs, mandatory safety helmet and side-by-side off-road vehicle.

Things to bring

  • Comfortable clothing adapted to the weather and activity conditions.
  • Closed shoes.
  • Waterproof clothes in case of bad weather
  • Sun cream.
  • Mosquito repellent.

  • Camera to immortalize this unique experience.

Safety instructions

  • Minimum age is 7 or minimum weight is 55 lb/25 kg

  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

  • Do not feed the dogs.

  • Follow the musher’s instructions at all times.

  • Keep your arms inside the vehicle.

  • Wear safety equipment provided by the park.

  • Non-smoking activity; no drugs or alcohol allowed on site.

Cancellation policies

  • Cancellation free of charge 24 hours before the activity; after this delay, the entire activity will be billed.

  • Full refund if the activity is cancelled due to bad weather or extreme temperatures (heatwave). We will contact you if the situation arises.
