Red deer

This animal is more ferocious than his cousin, but is still very sociable at the park. The red deer comes from Europe where it can be found anywhere in the great forest. Its range extends to Central Asia.

During your journey by car discover the red deer (Cervus elaphus), a smaller animal than the elk. He is also recognizable by its grey head and neck as his under body is of darker color.

Like almost all the deer, only the male has antlers which fall between mid-January and mid-April. In the spring, the antlers of the male grow covered with velvet that will fall off in August and September revealing the bones.
