Job description

Under the supervision of the activities and events coordinator, the seasonal animator will be
responsible for presenting theatrical presentations, animation programs and activities, and
interpretation to help visitors get the most out of their experience at
Omega Park. The selected candidate must be able to learn quickly and assimilate
new techniques to deliver meaningful, captivating and enjoyable activities, enriching
the overall visitor experience.

Main tasks

• Deliver meaningful, engaging and enjoyable interpretive programs and activities to
  enrich the visitor experience.
• Organize and run interactive games for visitors of all ages
• Encourage the participation of visitors through educational and recreational activities with the
  aim of stimulating their curiosity and creativity.
• Collaborate with other staff members to organize activities to offer visitors
  unforgettable moments.
• Welcome and orient visitors, provide information on reception, orientation and
  the visitor experience.
• Contribute to the overall visitor experience by responding to general
  inquiries, directing visitors to information sources and service areas, and
  remaining attentive to the condition and environment of the park to detect and report incidents.
  

Skills required :

• Experience in theatrical animation: ability to captivate an audience with lively, engaging performances
  .
• Ability to interpret animations according to supplied texts, with an aptitude for
  improvisation and creativity to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Versatility and the ability to adapt activities to different contexts and audiences.
• Interest in the park’s animal species, their behaviors, habitats and
  their importance in the ecosystem (an asset).
• Interest in education and conservation (an asset).

Requirements:

• Theater training or experience in animation, education or other related field
• Autonomy
• Initiative
  Seasonal entertainer
• Self-control
• Bilingual (French, English)

Working conditions :

• Seasonal employment
• Work schedule between 25 and 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
• Works mostly outdoors
• Standing for long periods
