Job description

Parc Oméga is currently looking for a cook to join our catering team. Under the supervision of the Chef de cuisine or Second, the incumbent is responsible for preparing, cooking and assembling dishes, in compliance with established recipes, MAPAQ standards and Parc quality standards.

He or she actively contributes to providing an efficient and safe culinary experience, in a dynamic, family-oriented environment in contact with the tourist clientele.

Main tasks

  • Prepare, cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure impeccable hygiene of your workspace at all times
  • Compliance with food safety standards (MAPAQ, HACCP)
  • Keep equipment and surfaces clean, functional and safe
  • Receive, check and put away orders according to FIFO rules
  • Collaborate with the Second and the Chef to ensure the smooth running of the service
  • Report any anomaly or technical problem to your immediate superior
  • Take part in the complete cleaning of the kitchen at the end of the shift
  • Apply internal company procedures and comply with safety instructions
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment

  • Excellent ability to follow recipes and respect portion sizes
  • Sense of organization and cleanliness
  • Speed of execution while maintaining dish quality
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety rules
  • Autonomy, punctuality and professional rigor
  • Team spirit and good communication with colleagues
  • Ability to manage stressful and busy periods
  • Respectful and professional attitude at all times
  • Concern for a job well done and respect for presentation standards
  • Experience in a restaurant environment (tourist, institutional or fast-food) an asset

Requirements:

  • DEP in cooking or equivalent experience (an asset)
  • Relevant kitchen experience (1 year minimum, an asset)
  • Knowledge of MAPAQ standards or valid certificate (asset)
  • Good physical condition (prolonged standing, carrying loads, fast-paced work)
  • Available to work weekends, holidays and during high season
  • Reliability, autonomy, good attitude

  • Permanent full-time position (32 to 40 h/week)
